Monday June 27

8:21 a.m. - 400 block Songbird St., garage broken into and change stolen from vehicle.

10:24 a.m. - Sommer's Agency, 1800 Lorain Blvd., two field trailers vandalized with about $10,000 of damage done.

4:18 p.m. - 300 block Vic Janowicz Drive, shed broken into and two mountain bicycles worth a combined $240 stolen.

6:15 p.m. - 300 block Denison Ave., pickup broken into and iPod, GPS and laptop computer stolen.

10:53 p.m. - 800 block Rosewood Drive, truck window smashed out. Rock found in truck.

Tuesday, June 28

1:15 a.m. - 300 block Brace Ave., home broken into through side door and ransacked. Computer, television and video games among the items stolen.

2:56 a.m. - Cascade Street and Lake Avenue, man said three men punched and kicked him and stole $500 and his cell phone as he walked on Cascade Street.

Sunday, June 26

7:05 p.m. - Florida Avenue and E. Street, Joseph W. Haddix, 32, 300 block W. Eighth St., Lorain, charged with driving with a suspended license and a stop sign violation, for alleged erratic driving. After being stopped and handcuffed, an allegedly suicidal Haddix repeatedly smashed his head against a police cruiser and thrashed his legs, according to a police report. Haddix was punched in the leg once by a police officer to keep him inside a police cruiser before being taken to Mercy Regional Medical Center for mental evaluation.

Monday, June 27

10:51 p.m. - 2900 block Packard Drive, .22-caliber rifle left by unlocked front door believed to be stolen overnight.

4:25 p.m. - Lorain Public Library, 2121 Homewood Drive, bicycle stolen from rack on north side of library.

5:03 p.m. - 3700 block Oxford Ave., car broken into overnight, GPS unit stolen.

5:08 p.m. - 1900 block E. 30th St., Joseph W. Haddix, 32, 300 block W. Eighth St., Lorain, charged with domestic violence for allegedly scratching his wife's arm and repeatedly threatening to kill her and their three children.

Tuesday June 28

1:20 a.m. - 3900 W. Erie Ave., Jovonne M. Washington, 28, no address listed, charged with assault for allegedly clawing, scratching and slapping her boyfriend. Washington admitted to scratching her boyfriend and said she was eight months pregnant and high on crack cocaine.

2:10 a.m. - Grown & Sexxy Lounge, 1680 E. 28th St., Felisha R. Ross, 46, 4300 block Princess Drive, charged with assault and driving with a suspended license for allegedly slashing her boyfriend above and below his left eye with keys or a sharp object on her key chain. Ross, who was stopped in a car near the club, said she accidentally cut her boyfriend as he was choking her during an argument outside the club.

4:45 a.m. - 1600 block Washington Ave., three young men on bicycles challenge a man to a fight and one fired a shot from a pistol at him as he stood on the balcony. One of the suspects, Craig Roberson, was later arrested in connection with an unrelated street robbery.

5:10 a.m. - 1900 block Lexington Ave., man pistol-whipped inside his apartment by two men who said they were searching for something and then ran away.

10:49 a.m. - 600 block W. 13th St., Larry N. Edwards Sr., 51, 600 block W. 13th St., Lorain, charged with confinement of a dangerous and vicious dog and having an unregistered dog after a woman walking by Edwards' home was bitten on her arm by his roaming dog and used a stick to fight it off.

11:02 p.m. - 1800 block E. 32nd St., 13-year-old boy charged with domestic violence and being an unruly child and sent to a juvenile prison for allegedly biting his mother in the face.

Wednesday, June 29

1:18 a.m. - 1700 block Hamilton Ave., Jeffrey R. Bennett, 46, 1700 block Hamilton Ave., charged with resisting arrest, obstructing official business, disorderly conduct by intoxication and sale or discharging of fireworks for allegedly setting off fireworks in his front yard and then acting belligerently and struggling with police when they attempted to handcuff him.
