There are two candidates seeking to represent Grafton’s 1st Ward on Village Council.

What are the biggest issues facing the village?

Dukles: The most important issue that I would like to focus on is broadcasting all of Grafton’s Council meetings. I feel that this is important because it will make meetings available to everyone and allow people to be updated with decisions on local events, expenses and future projects. I feel that not enough people are aware or active in decision-making in our community and this will allow them to get involved.

Seiler: The economy.

How do you plan to address them?

Dukles: As the owner and operator of a business in the heart of Grafton, it is imperative that this town is current with the times. I also feel that I will listen to the opinions of the people and will raise these points during town meetings. I am the only candidate suited for this position since I am dedicated to make appropriate changes and uphold the standards of this town.

Seiler: Cut back on any unnecessary spending and keep away from any new taxes that the residents cannot afford at this time, if at all possible.

What makes you best suited for the job?

Dukles: I am the best suited for Ward 1 Council of Grafton because I am a well-rounded and open-minded young man who wants to see Grafton succeed with a busy business district and more job opportunities. I want to work closely with my friends and neighbors to make that a reality, but nevertheless to be careful and not take away from the “small town appeal” that Grafton is famous for. I have never been afraid of hard work and I will work hard for the village.

Seiler: I have already served my first term as councilman and have learned a lot and know how the business of the village works and I know what the majority of the residents want and expect of their representatives. I plan on serving my fellow residents and neighbors as honest and straight-forward as possible.
