COLUMBUS — A freeze warning covers much of southern and eastern Ohio, with the National Weather Service saying chilly temperatures pose a danger to crops.
At 7 a.m. today it was 39 degrees in Lorain and 35 degrees in Elyria but only 32 degrees in southern Lorain County.
The forecasters say the below-freezing weather will kill crops and other sensitive vegetation. The weather service says outdoor potted plants should be covered or brought inside.
The freeze warning is in effect until 9 a.m.
