Carlisle Cafe... Where great food and friendships are made

The Carlisle Café, formerly the Pioneer Lounge, located at 1509 Grafton Road in Elyria, offers more than good food and friendships to our customers and friends.

When you walk into the Carlisle Café, you will immediately notice something out of the ordinary … books! It’s certainly not something you usually see when first entering a restaurant, but nothing is ordinary about the Carlisle Café. A book exchange offered at the Café gives those that enjoy reading the opportunity to grab a new read or give a used book to another customer or friend, as it usually turns out.

In addition, a Notary Public is on hand if you need to have something notarized. Monthly outings are also something you can join in on with the friends at the Carlisle Café. Together they attend dinners, plays, hayrides, picnics and even a night at the All Pro Stadium! And, if you like to enjoy some good music, stop by and let a wonderful local, Ms. Joan VanWormer, play a little piano for you! Other entertainment is offered as well!

Breakfast is served as early as 6:30 a.m. and different specials are served for Lunch and Dinner daily. On Sunday, we offer breakfast only, but we serve it until 2:00 p.m. for those late risers!

The Carlisle Café would like to also extend their Friday and Saturday hours for the local high school students … to provide them with a safe, clean place to hang out. Any students interested should stop by, call or send a note!

A friendly staff and experienced cooks, who enjoy what they do, makes the Carlisle Café a little more special when it comes to taking care of their customers and friends.

Stop by and see Ernie and Mike. They’re waiting to make your day a little bit brighter!
