Tournament coming to town

The NCAA announced Monday that Cleveland State University will serve as co-host for the men’s 2015 Division I NCAA Tournament’s Midwest Regional, with the games scheduled for March 26 and 28 to be held at Quicken Loans Arena.

There will be a doubleheader Thursday, March 26, with the regional championship game and a berth to the Final Four at stake, Saturday, March 28.

Los Angeles, Houston and Syracuse, N.Y., will also host regionals in 2015.

It will mark the fourth time that Cleveland has hosted a Division I men’s postseason event. First and second-round games were held in 2000 and 2005, with second and third-round games held last year.

Ohio will host three levels of men’s NCAA Tournaments in 2015 — the First Four in Dayton, second- and third-round games in Columbus and the regional in Cleveland.

The First Four will be played March 17-18 at the University of Dayton Arena, the second- and third-round games at Nationwide Arena in Columbus on March 20 and 22.

Dayton also hosts the First Four in 2013 on March 19-20 and again in 2014 on March 18-19, in addition to being the venue for the 2013 second- and third-round games on March 22 and 24.
