Lorraine M. Cummings (nee Demick), 70, of Elyria, passed away Saturday, June 15, 2019 at her home, following a sudden illness. She was born February 6, 1949 in Cleveland and had been an Elyria resident for the past three years, coming from Cleveland.
Lorraine was the former co-owner of Chip's Bait and Tackle Shop in Cleveland for more than 20 years and was an avid Cleveland Indians Baseball fan.
Survivors include her daughters, Lisa (Bill) Boesken and Sue (Hamdy) Mohamed; son, Buck (Melissa) Cummings; eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; sisters, Jennie Galati and Nancy Curry; brother, John Demick.
The family will receive friends Friday, June 21, 2019 from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Laubenthal-Mercado Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 38475 Chestnut Ridge Rd. (at State Rt. 57), Elyria. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, June 22, 2019 in the funeral home. The Reverend Daniel Reinke will officiate. Burial will be at Westpark Cemetery, Cleveland.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-1905.
