Born August 24th 1930 in Warren, he married Ellen Naomi (Stubble), his high school sweetheart for 68 years. Lou passed peacefully in his sleep on Tuesday, May 28, 2019.
He is survived by his six children, Kathy Montana, Lu Ann Chillemi, Colette Wargo, Jeff Wargo, Kerry Asante and Robyn Wargo; grandchildren, Brooke Ellen Marroco, Lake Battles, Micaela Wargo, Kaeti Wargo, Alexi Vargas, Jonah Kahlil; great-grandchildren, Annabelle Marocco, Charlie Marocco, Gwendolyn Battles and faithful companion, Holly Wargo.
He was an avid competitor regardless of what he tackled and was passionate about a good poker game, was an avid golfer and an active bowler and rooted for the Cleveland Cavs and Indians, as well as a fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers. Lou was a voracious reader and well versed on a wide variety of subjects. Crossword puzzles were a daily challenge as was a good Sudoku game. His love for pepperoni pizza and salami sandwiches was well known within family.
Amongst his career accomplishments and after leaving U.S. Steel, he became a Partner with then Ernst & Ernst and in his constant effort to improve himself became President of Toastmasters as well as the CPA Chapter of Greater Cleveland Chapter.
Lou was a constant provider for his family and in the last few months of his life was surrounded by his Six Angels (AKA Children). They cared for him and loved him dearly. He verbally expressed his biggest blessings to be his loving family, grateful for his loving wife and children.
His deepest love was for his wife, Ellen, who passed February 26, 2019. Lou soon followed to be with his love. May he rest in Peace.
