Daniel George Koutsopoulos


Daniel George Koutsopoulos, of LaGrange, born March 29, 1977 passed away Friday, March 15, 2019.

Dan was loved by so many. He loved his family, children and grandchildren. He was a tattooist and artist. His hobby was RC cars. He has also learned from his father, an accomplished knife maker, the art of making knives by hand.

Dan is survived by his mother, Beverly Cocke Koutsopoulos (nee Szczepanski); his three daughters and four grandchildren, Kylee J. Lawson (Ryan), parents of Wyatt R. and Aireona R. Lawson, Helayna M. (Austin) Vlach, parents of Nova L. Wattring and Kenleigh J. Vlach. His daughter, Rhiannon Dani Koutsopoulos.

Dan was preceded in death by his father, George E. Koutsopoulos.

He was the youngest of a blended family with seven children, survived by (his father's children); sister, Athena M. (Robert) Logan, mother of Angela R. (Brad) Downs, Amy L. Koutsopoulos and Anthony J. (Carrie) Wisniewski, parents of Vera M. Wisniewski; brother, Anthony G. (Shelly) Koutsopoulos, parents of Garrett A. and Alec A. Koutsopoulos. A brother, John G. (Kimberly) Koutsopoulos, parents of John M. Koutsopoulos. And (his mother's children) sister, Janelle M. Cocke; brother, George W. (Patty) Cocke, Jr., parents of Ryan W. Cocke; sister, Laura A. Cocke, mother of Ethan M. (Page) Cocke, parents of Benjiman M. and Coraline R. Cocke; brothers, Tyler B. Cocke and Zachery T. Sherbert and his brother-in-law, Thomas Wetzel.

A memorial service will be held at Wyers-Bollinger Funeral Chapel, 2900 N. Ridge Rd., Elyria, Saturday, March 23, 2019 from 2 to 4 p.m. with Pastor Robert Wickens officiating at 3:30 p.m. A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, March 24, 2019 in Daniel's hometown of LaGrange at Old Glory Grange, 113 S. Center St. from 2 to 5 p.m.

Any donations will be accepted by his sister, Laura Cocke and mother, Beverly Koutsopoulos and divided among his children.
