Betty A. Lingruen (nee Southack), 90, of Washington Courthouse, passed away at her daughter's home on Thursday, February 14, 2019 after a lengthy illness. She was born September 10, 1928 in Lakewood and had lived most her life in North Ridgeville, before moving to Florida and Washington Courthouse.
She worked as a custodian at the Wilcox School in North Ridgeville, retiring in 2000 after 25 years. Betty's greatest joy in life was found in spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She is survived by her sons, Kenneth (Helen) Lingruen of North Ridgeville and Roy Lingruen of Florida; daughters, Lynn Deskins of Washington Courthouse and Sandra (Jim) McMillan of Florida; six grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
Betty was preceded in death by her husband, Roy G. Lingruen; granddaughter, Jacquelyn Kerns and parents, Russel and Helen (nee Dundas) Southack.
Funeral service will be Tuesday, February 19, 2019 at 1 P.M. in The Bogner Family Funeral Home, 36625 Center Ridge Rd., North Ridgeville, where family will receive friends from 12 Noon until time of service. The Reverend Carl Ethridge will officiate. Interment will be in Sunset Memory Gardens, North Olmsted.
