Alice (nee Wilson) Roberson, 93, passed away Sunday, November 11, 2018 from complications that she had bravely faced for a few months.
Beloved wife for 63 years to Israel Foy Roberson and last four loving years with William E. Johnson of Elyria; dearest mother of Kathleen (David) Rybarczyk, Linda (Ken) Miller, Diane Roberson, Barbara Virnelson, Arthur (Cheryl) Roberson, Bruce (Judy) Roberson; 15 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren and brother, Howard Wilson (deceased).
Alice graduated from Rocky River High School, was selected to learn drafting for the war effort at John Hopkins University and contributed her skills while working at Warner Swasey of Cleveland. She then had a short stint at Baldwin Wallace College. Alice loved talking to people, always arranging projects throughout the church while volunteering for anyone that needed help. Alice never tired, her hobbies included, oil painting, water coloring, quilting, wood carving, knitting, jewelry making, stone cutting/polishing and finishing off the days with non-stop gardening that she adored. She always had the most beautiful grass in the neighborhood. As a grandmother, she could keep 12 grandkids busy for days on end. One of her favorite passions was quilting with other members of her church while also being in the church bell choir for 30 years. Alice was an accomplished seamstress while doing all the sewing for the family.
