Warren George Maiden


Warren George Maiden, 76, of Vermilion, passed away Tuesday, August 28, 2018 at New Life Hospice Residential Center in Lorain. He was born September 7, 1941 in Sheffield Lake. Warren lived in Lorain, Norwalk, Amherst and Vermilion throughout his life.

He was a graduate of Brookside High School with the class of 1959. He was employed as a Pipefitter with the Local #42 Norwalk Plumbers and Steamfitters Union.

Warren was a member of the Norwalk American Legion Post 12, Amherst Fraternal Order of the Eagles Aerie #1442 and Vermilion Amvets Post 22. He was active with the Brookside Alumni Lunch Club and the Sheffield Lake Historical Society. Warren was an avid Cleveland Sports fan. In his spare time he enjoyed gardening and fishing.

Survivors include his son, Warren S. Maiden (Elizabeth) of Amherst; daughter, Cheryl Robinson of Mission Viejo, California; granddaughter, Katherine Robinson and brother, Joseph Maiden of Florida.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 41 years, Elaine Marie Maiden (nee Brindza) on January 27, 2005; brother, Thomas Maiden and his parents, Warren Joseph and Elisabeth Mary Maiden (nee Erdy).

Friends may call Tuesday, September 11, 2018 from 5 P.M. until the time of the memorial service at 7 P.M. at The Hempel Funeral Home, 373 Cleveland Ave., Amherst. Burial will be held privately by the family.
