William J. Kelly, Sr., 60, of Elyria, died, Wednesday, September 5, 2018 after a long illness. He was born May 16, 1958 in Elyria and was a 1976 graduate of Black River High School.
Bill began his 40 year career in the construction industry with his father at Kelly Brothers Construction and was currently employed at Sitetech Excavating. His first love was his family. Other interests and hobbies included motorcycles, guitars and guns.
Bill is survived by his wife of 20 years, Molly A. (nee O'Connor); sons, William J. (LaTaunia) Kelly, Jr. of Sullivan and Jason A. (Kelsey) Kelly of Elyria; stepchildren, Samuel and Carly Ross; grandchildren, Jaxon, Cameron, Kendall and Ethan; brother, James G. "Jerry" (Pat) Kelly of LaGrange and sisters, Alice Faye Kelly of Nashville, Tennessee and Cindy Lee Kelly of Naples, Florida.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Samuel W. and Mary K. Kelly; brother, Samuel W. Kelly, Jr.; sisters, Anna Mae Gibbons and Mary Kay Komko and stepdaughter, Courtney Ross.
Friends will be received Sunday, September 9, 2018 from 12 Noon until the time of a 3 P.M. service at Dicken Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 323 Middle Avenue, Elyria. The Reverend Kathryn Ketchum will officiate. Burial will be private in Brookdale Cemetery.
