Edward Julius Mularz III, 48, of North Ridgeville, passed away Monday, September 3, 2018.
Ed was a graduate of St. Ignatius High School, Class of 1987 and John Carroll University, Class of 1993. He worked for numerous sports radio stations in Cleveland, including 92.3 The Fan and WKNR for such sports teams as the Browns, the Indians, the Gladiators and the Monsters. Ed approached his love of life, sports and friendship with fierce resolve. With bravery and strength he overcame limitations and served as an example for us all to believe anything was possible.
From childhood on, Ed either played or officiated baseball and softball in Westlake, Bay Village and Parma. He sang in the church choir at St. Peter's Catholic Church in North Ridgeville. Ed was a warrior and fought Acute Respiratory Failure until the end.
He was the beloved son of Edward Jr. and Cecilia (Lorenger); cherished brother of Caroline; loving nephew of several aunts and uncles; dear cousin of many and friend to many.
A visitation from 4 to 8 P.M. will be on Sunday, September 9, 2018 at the Sunset Chapel, 6245 Columbia Rd., North Olmsted. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 A.M., Monday, September 10, 2018 at St. Peter's Catholic Church, 35777 Center Ridge Rd., North Ridgeville. Please meet at church. Interment at Chestnut Grove Cemetery, Olmsted Falls.
