Jackie Frazier Chappell, 86, of North Ridgeville, passed away Sunday, September 2, 2018 at his home after a lengthy illness. He was born September 16, 1931 in Phil Campbell, Alabama and had been a resident of North Ridgeville since 1953.
Jackie was a member of the Church of God of Prophecy in Vermilion. He worked in the foundry at the Ford Motor Company, Brook Park Plant for 33 years, retiring in 1987. Jackie was an avid sports fan and enjoyed collecting old Western movies.
He is survived by his children, Faye M. (Jeffery A.) Sanders, Jackie Lee (Connie) Chappell, Christine M. Harkless, Jeremy F. Chappell and Mathew A. Chappell; 10 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; brother, Raymond Chappell and many nieces and nephews.
Jackie was preceded in death by his former wife, Ida Louise Chappell Munday (nee Evans); parents, Fred Sr. and Martha (nee Carpenter) Chappell and brothers, Fred, Kenneth, Ralph, Donald and Robert Ray Chappell and Gene Byrd.
Funeral service will be Friday, September 7, 2018 at 1 P.M. in The Bogner Family Funeral Home, 36625 Center Ridge Rd., N. Ridgeville, where family will receive friends from 12 Noon until time of service. The Reverend Arnold Mullins will officiate. Interment will be in Resthaven Memory Gardens, Avon.
