Cheryl Lavonne Walker (nee Houk), of Nova, passed away at the age of 85 on Thursday, July 12, 2018. Cheryl was born February 3, 1933, in Aliquippa, Pennsylvania.
She married her sweetheart, Clarence Walker in 1952. Cheryl was a deer hunter and an avid gardener. She loved birds and raised beagles. She was truly a gracious lady and will be deeply missed. Cheryl was a member of North Lake Missionary Baptist Church in Amherst.
She is survived by her daughter, Cherlyn Rangel (nee Walker) and her son-in-law, Craig Rangel of Nova; son, Darryl Walker and daughter-in-law, Kathy Walker of St. Clairsville; grandchildren, Rachel Grilley of Jeromesville (Nick), Melissa Walker of Ashland (Derrick); great-grandchildren, Arabella and Parker, Boone Walker of St. Clairsvile, Ohio (Charity), Zac Michalski and daughter-in-law, (April) and great-grandchildren, Leighla and Dakota of Ashland, Kelly Rangel of Cincinnati (Mike), Nicolas Rangel of Wellington (Sarah).
She was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Walker in 2003; both of their parents and their twin daughters, DaLynda and Jackie.
Friends may call Wednesday, July 18, 2018 from 12 Noon until the time of the service at 1 P.M. at North Lake Missionary Baptist Church, 323 N. Lake St., South Amherst. Burial will follow at North Murray Ridge Cemetery, Elyria. A celebration of life party will be held at Cherlyn and Craig Rangel's home on Saturday, July 21, 2018 at 2 P.M.
