Violet Luedean (Walker) Toney, 81, of Oberlin, passed away Saturday, December 30, 2017 at St.John Medical Center in Westlake. She was born December 18, 1936 in Clendenin, West Virginia and resided in Oberlin for the rest of her life.
Luedean enjoyed time with family and friends. She was a homemaker and an excellent cook. She liked quilt making, canning and crocheting.
She is survived by three children, Danny L. Toney, Clara Gay (Kay) Toney Wilfong, Melvin Wayne Toney; eight grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren and sisters, Mary Olive, Carol Lesher Evans, Patsy Lue Lesher and Edith Lesher.
She was preceded in death by her father, Granvil Walker; mother, Clara Ellen Taylor Walker; brothers, Allie Walker, Harlen Walker, Denvil Walker, Roy Walker and sister, Cynthia Walker Barker; her husband, Melvin K. Toney and grandsons, Chaderick V. Wilfong and Danny Toney, Jr.
Friends may call in the Blackburn-Duke Funeral Home, 1021 Main St., Grafton, Friday, January 5, 2018 from 3 to 5 P.M. Visitation will also be Saturday, January 6, 2018 in the Lift Jesus Higher Church, 1233 Jordan Creek Rd., Falling Rock, West Virginia from 1 P.M. until graveside service at 2 P.M. in the Barker Toney Cemetery, Valleyview, West Virginia.
