Marilyn Kay Cooper (nee Turner), 48, of Wellington, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, December 29, 2017 at University Hospital in Cleveland, following a extended illness. She was born December 16, 1969 in Lorain.
Marilyn had made her home in Amherst for most of her life before moving to Wellington in 2005 where she had resided until her passing. She was a graduate of Amherst Steele High School with the class of 1988 where she enjoyed drama and choir. Marilyn continued her education at Ohio Northern College of Pharmacy where she graduated.
She was employed as a Pharmacist at Rite Aid for over 20 years. Marilyn was a lifelong member of New Beginnings Church of Christ in Amherst where she was active with the Northeastern Ohio ChristianYouth Camp. She was a devoted daughter, wife and mother. Her hobbies included reading, camping, movies and bee keeping. Marilyn also enjoyed her pets.
Survivors include her husband of 12 years, Harold Burton Cooper; her daughters, Sophia Cooper and Isabella Cooper all at home; her mother, Helen Turner (nee Hadley) of Oberlin; her brothers, Bruce Turner (Vicki), Russell Turner (Melodey) and John Turner (Anna) all of Amherst and her sister, Cathy Wooten (Dave) of Louisville, Kentucky.
She was preceded in death by her father, Robert Turner and her brother, David Turner.
Friends may call Thursday, January 4, 2018 from 10 A.M. until the time of the funeral service at 12 Noon at the Hempel Funeral Home; 373 Cleveland Ave., Amherst. Burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery, Wellington.
