Edward Michael Frick, 78, of Elyria, passed away Tuesday, October 11, 2016, at University Hospitals Elyria Medical Center, following a lengthy illness.
Edward was a loving husband, great father and wonderful grandfather. He was born February 15, 1938 and was a graduate of St. Edward High School in Cleveland and a graduate of Cooper School of Art. Edward served his country in the U.S. Army from 1961-1964. He was employed by AT&T for many years. He was a excellent artist, handyman and loved his grandkids, who made him light up with a smile.
Survivors include his wife of 49 years, Inez "Pat" (nee Currier); daughter, Diane Corean (Steidl) (Nate) of Las Vegas; grandchildren, Tyler and Kara Steidl; sister, Mary Petro of Gahanna; brother, N. James of Rocky River and many extended family and friends.
The family will receive friends 4 until 7 P.M., Friday, October 14, 2016, at the Laubenthal-Mercado Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 38475 Chestnut Ridge Rd. (at State Rt. 57), Elyria, 440-322-4626. Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 A.M., Saturday, October 15, 2016, at St. Julie Billiart, 5500 Lear Nagle Rd., North Ridgeville, (please meet at the church). The Reverend Father George Vrabel will be the Celebrant. Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery, Brook Park), where full Military Honors will be provided by VFW Post #1079.
