Carl Eugene Kolb, 58, of Wellington, died unexpectedly at his home. Born in Wellington January 18, 1956, to the late Lewis and Jeanette (nee Lewis) Kolb, Carl was a lifelong resident of the Village and graduated from Wellington High School.
A farmer, Carl operated his own farm for many years. He was a member of FFA and Carl could routinely been seen spearheading a Fish Fry at Keystone High School. Carl loved farming, being outdoors and listening to audio books.
He leaves behind his daughters, Nada (Allen Stepp) Kolb of North Ridgeville, Sara (Andrew) Matuska of Elyria, Ashley (Sharonda Expose) Kolb of Mansfield and Jennifer Kolb of Midland City, Alabama; three grandchildren, Talon, Enzo and Andrew, Jr. Carl is also survived by his siblings, Betty Hughes, Alice Burns, Larry, Jerry and Ken Kolb.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Thomas.
Friends and family will be received Thursday, August 7, 2014, from 6 P.M.,. until the 7 P.M. Memorial Service at Norton-Eastman Funeral Home, 370 South Main Street, Wellington. A private graveside service will be held at a later date.
