Jeanne D. Meredith (nee Dilgren), 88, of Elyria, died Saturday, June 28, 2014 at St. Mary of the Woods, Avon. She was born December 2, 1925, in Oberlin.
She was a 1943 graduate of Elyria High School and attended Bowling Green State University. Jeanne was formerly employed at the Chronicle Telegram and Lorain County Board of Elections. She was a member of First Congregational United Church of Christ, loved all four legged animals, bridge, travel and spending time with her family.
Jeanne is survived by her husband of 68 years, Hubert W. Meredith; daughters, Cynthia (Jack) Martin, Ellen (Martin) Rosenblum; son, Jack (Beth) Meredith; seven grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Jack and Ruth Dilgren; sisters, Rilla Jokela and June Crandall; and a brother, Richard Dilgren.
Friends will be received Thursday, July 3, 2014, from 10 A.M., until the time of an 11:30 A.M. funeral service, at Dicken Funeral Home, 323 Middle Avenue, Elyria. The Reverend Wayne Brass will officiate. Burial will be in Brookdale Cemetery.
