His passion was playing cards with friends and family. He also was a lifelong Indians and Browns fan. He belonged to the Senior Center in Lorain.
He is survived by his children, Carol Whitfield of Lorain, Michael (Nicole) Vacco of Amherst, Hal (Joe) (Vivian) Vacco of West Salem, Andrew Vacco of Ashland, Steven Vacco of Elyria and Ann Vacco of Sheffield Village; nine grandchildren; a sister, Margie Lovejoy; and two brothers, Robert and Joseph Vacco.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Carol M. Vacco (nee Brewer) in 2003; a sister, Terri Ujcich; and his parents, Joseph and Josephine (nee Julio) Vacco.
Friends will be received at the Reichlin Roberts Funeral Home, 327 Cleveland Street, Elyria, Friday, June 27, 2014 from 11 A.M. until the time of services at 1 P.M., with Beth McKee, Chaplain of the Elyria Methodist Village, officiating. Burial will be in Brookdale Cemetery, Elyria.
