Diamond Reene Petty, 22, of Elyria, went home to be with the Lord Wednesday, June 4, 2014, in the Mercy Hospital in Lorain, following a long illness. She was born in Akron, spending most of her life in Elyria.
Diamond was a graduate of Elyria High School, class of 2010. Diamond was a member of Call out Church of Almighty God in Elyria. She enjoyed music and being around her family and friends.
Diamond is survived by her father, Ernest Davis of Akron; sisters, Cheree Davis, Jalane Murray, both of Akron; her care giver and aunt, Helen (Charles) Green of Elyria; grandmother, Sarah Allgood-Oliver of Elyria; a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and other relatives.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Patricia Petty; sister, Latosha Nicole Petty; maternal grandparents, Annie Oliver and Eugene Petty; paternal grandparents, RT Oliver and Emma Jean Oliver; uncle, Elijah Oliver; and aunt, Joann Petty.
Friends may call Thursday, June 12, 2014, from 10 A.M. until time of service at 12 Noon, at the Call Out Church Of God Almighty, 7809 West River Rd., South. Evangelist Gertrude Cooper will officiate services. Burial will follow in Westwood Cemetery in Oberlin.
