Marilyn L. Kopriva

Marilyn L. Kopriva (nee Mitchell), 80, of North Fort Myers, Florida, formerly of Avon Lake, passed away peacefully Saturday, May 31, 2014 after a courageous battle with cancer.

Marilyn graduated from Avon High School and was retired from the BF Goodrich Credit Union in Avon Lake, after many years of service. She was also a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Avon Lake.

Marilyn was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. Family was everything to Marilyn. Marilyn was a devoted, compassionate, understanding friend to all who came in contact with her.

Marilyn is survived by her loving husband of almost 60 years, Arnie; children, Tom (Anita) Kopriva and Cindy Kopriva; eight grandchildren; brothers, Larry Mitchell of Avon, George (Del) Mitchell of Perrysburg; sister, Ginny (Dan) Deeks of Elyria; and many nieces and nephews.

Marilyn was preceded in death by her sons, Timothy A. Kopriva and Terry L. Kopriva; sister, Georgia Ann Grote; an infant brother, Thomas A. Mitchell; and her parents, Mildred and George R. Mitchell, Sr.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday, June 10, 2014, at 11 A.M., at St. Therese Catholic Church, 20115 N. Tamiami Trail, North Fort Myers, FL 33903. Burial will be Wednesday, June 11, 2014 at Bay Pines National Cemetery in St. Petersburg, Florida.

The family would like to thank Hope Hospice in Cape Coral, Florida for the wonderful care they gave Marilyn.
