Linda M. Murphy (nee Kostohryz), 63, of Avon Lake, passed away Sunday, May 11, 2014, at Mercy New Life Hospice after a short illness. Linda was born in Elyria, March, 2, 2951, to the late William J. and Bertha E. (nee Rogers) Kostohryz. She was a 1969 graduate of Avon Lake High School. In the past, Linda attended Lorain County Community College.
She was presently a free-lance photographer for the Chronicle Telegram, specializing in sports and pet photos. Previously, Linda also shot photos for the former Sun News. Her passion was photography. Her photography work has been featured in the Rolling Stones magazine.
Linda was also a personal trainer in the area of body building. She also loved dogs and had several as pets in the past. Linda enjoyed traveling.
She is survived by her sister, Christine M. Gibson of Sheffield Lake; two nieces, Victoria Gibson and Skye (Mark) Casey; and two nephews, Shawn Gibson and Lance (Suzanne) Gibson.
