Anne Marie Kristoff died Friday, April 25, 2014, in Poway, California. She was 96. Anne, the youngest of six children of Adolf and Augusta Schweizer, was born in Aich, Germany on January 31, 1918.
Her family immigrated to Ohio when Anne was six years old. She attended school in Elyria and graduated from Elyria High School in June 1937.
During her lifetime, Anne worked as a seamstress, a nursing aide and retired from Ohio Screw Products as a machine operator.
Anne was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Albert Schweizer; and sisters, Freda Ulich, Hattie Balkin, Helen Ellis, Erica Dellisanti; and her beloved husband of 50 years, Zigmont Kristoff.
She is survived by her son, Eugene (Sharon); and grandson, Kyle, all of San Diego, California.
The family is planning a memorial service in Elyria in the fall.
