Ellen graduated from Keystone High School, Class of 1973 and attended LCJVS, studying culinary arts. She was employed at Electrical Assemblies and Elms Nursing Home. Ellen loved kids and babysat for many, even teaching a few to take their first steps. She collected dolls, cookbooks and owls. She loved board and card games, and played a mean game of Uno!
The kitchen was her playground and she loved trying new recipes, baking lots of Christmas cookies and cakes for all occasions. She always had a smile and said hello to all. She had a laugh that made you laugh along with her.
She is survived by her mother, Doris Lemons; sisters, Joanna Rivera of LaGrange, Nancy Beres of Alabama; brother, Dan Lemons of Wellington; and nieces, great-nephews and many cousins.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Cliff Bolyard; father, Dewey Lemons; and great-nephew, Zach Hall.
A stuffed bear she held for comfort was cremated with her. Pastor Ralph, of LaGrange United Methodist Church, officiated the private graveside service, held February 27, 2014. Her resting place is in River Road Cemetery, LaGrange.
