Sonya Ann Finley (nee Ailport), 56, of Elyria, passed away suddenly on Monday, December 30, 2013, at EMH Regional Medical Center. She was born January 14, 1957, in Binghamton, New York. She was a graduate of Homestead High School.
Sonya was a member of Amvets. Her hobbies included crafts, scrapbooking, angels, monkeys, and ceramic dolls. Survivors include her husband, Jimmy; daughters, Alicia Jimenez of Elyria, Jennifer Jimenez of Lorain, Courtney Hilaszek of Elyria, Logan Finley of Elyria; sons, Tommy Jimenez of San Jose, California, Garrett Finley of Elyria; sisters, Fran (Kenneth) Lovett of Amherst, Kathy (Dale) Brown of Elyria; brothers, Glen (Pat) of North Ridgeville, Fred (Debbie) Black of Florida; grandchildren, Deja, DeAndre, Isla Jimenez, Jeremy Embry, Kellan, Marley Hilazek, Nicholas Ramirez, and Cylas Agenceroth; former husband, Thomas Jimenez; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Lee and Dolores (nee DuBois); and her brother, Robert.
Family will receive friends 4 until 7 P.M., Friday, January 3, 2014, until the time of service at 7 P.M., at the Laubenthal-Mercado Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 38475 Chestnut Ridge Rd. (at State Rt. 57).
