James E. Miller, 69, of LaGrange, passed away Friday, November 29, 2013, in the Cleveland Clinic, after a long illness. He was born September 16, 1944 in Glenville, West Virginia and lived in LaGrange since 1972.
A graduate of Normantown High School, he retired from Ford Motor Company after 37 years of service and worked in the administrative area. He was a member of the Local UAW. Mr. Miller served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War and was stationed in Vietnam. The greatest joy of his life was his grandchildren.
He is survived by his sons, Mark (Brandy) Miller of Raleigh, North Carolina and John Miller, also of North Carolina. Survivors also include his three grandchildren, Anthony, Brianna and Alexander James Miller; three sisters; and four brothers.
He was preceded in death by his parents Hylbert and Lelia Miller; and three siblings.
Friends may call in the Blackburn-Duke Funeral Home, 1021 Main St., Grafton, Wednesday, Decemeber 4, 2013, from 1 until 3 P.M. Burial will take place in the National Cemetery in North Carolina.
