Michael E. Davis, 49, of Elyria, passed away Wednesday, October 2, 2013 at St. John Medical Center, Westlake, after a long illness. He was a member of Good Shepherd Baptist Church of Elyria and a life long resident of Elyria.
He enjoyed singing, music, computers and spending time with his family. He attended Elyria City School and later received his GED at LCCC and became a Certified CNC operator. He eventually secured his CDL and became an OTR truck driver.
He is survived by his wife of 24 years, Wendy Davis (nee Spillman); children, Mychael and Whitney; sister, Beverly (Chris) Jones; brothers, Alvin (Monica) Davis and Kenny Davis; many nieces and nephews, cousins, sister-in-law, brother-in-law, friends and his special aunt, LeVada Maben and special uncle, Clarence (Jewel) Gause of Detroit, Michigan.
He was preceded in death by his father, Alvin Davis; and his mother, Mollye Noel; and step father, Walter Noel.
Friends may call Friday, October 11, 2013 from 11 A.M. until time of service at 12 Noon at the Good Shepherd Baptist Church, 244 9th Street, Elyria. The Reverend Larry Hartville, Pastor will officiate.
