Christopher L. Ensminger, 58, of Elyria, died Saturday, August 31, 2013, at New Life Hospice Center of St. Joseph in Lorain. He was born June 13, 1955 in Elyria and attended Elyria High School.
For many years, Christopher had been a long distance truck driver. He had sang and played guitar in local bands, enjoyed camping and loved animals, especially his dog, Macy.
Christopher is survived by daughters, Bethany (Orlando Flores) Hejnal of Avon and Christie (John) Foy of Berlin Heights; son, Jeremy Ensminger of Avon; seven grandchildren; mother, Bonnie L. Goodwin of Elyria; father, Donald Ensminger of North Carolina; sisters, Randi (Purvie) Smallwood and Robbi (David Bruening) Goodwin, both of Elyria, Renee Wood of Houston, Texas and Kim (Ed) Hollingsworth of North Carolina.
He was preceded in death by his stepfather, Jack Goodwin.
A memorial service will be Friday, 4 P.M., September 6, 2013, at New Life Hospice Center of St. Joseph, 35000 Kolbe Rd., Lorain. Chaplain Christopher D. Robinson will officiate.
