She had been a member of the Republican Executive Committee of Lorain County, ward leader, precinct committee person, election booth worker and had received a Certificate of Service from the Ohio Secretary of State.
She was a volunteer at Wesleyan Village and a member of the Senior Active People, where her favorite exercise was water walking.

She was also family-famous for holding her own in spirited give and take conversations with Norm. One of their special times together was their trip to Hawaii.
