Linda Adeline Mitchell (Tribble) went to Heaven in Arlington, Texas on Wednesday, April 24, 2013 at the age of 66. She was born June 29, 1946 in Nitro, West Virginia and moved to Oberlin as a young child.
She married Ronald L. Mitchell in June, 1964 and lived locally in Lorain County until 1975, when she relocated to Kenosha, Wisconsin. After the first grandchild, Jonathon Flesher, was born, she relocated in 1985 to Grand Prairie, Texas to be near him. After Ron retired in 2010, they relocated to Midlothian, Texas.
Linda was active in her church community at Crossroads Christian Church of Grand Prairie, Texas. She was a 22 year breast cancer survivor and following her illness she volunteered for Hospice and counseled cancer patients as late as last fall. Her family was the center of her life, only after God.
Linda is survived by her spouse, Ronald L. Mitchell; children, Lisa Flesher (John), Ronald L. Mitchell II (Shelly), Leslie Gates (Kenny); grandchildren, Alyssa Mitchell, Jessica Flesher, Paige Mitchell, Maryssa Gates and Danyelle Gates; great grandson, Bryant Flesher; mother, Pauline J. Tribble (Wooten); siblings, Vivian Tribble, Millard W. Tribble, Jr., Sue Bring, Belinda Hartranft, Kathy Tavenner, and Connie Tribble.
She was preceded in death by her grandson, Jonathon Flesher and her father, Millard Tribble.
A service to celebrate her new life was held Saturday, April 27, 2013 at Crossroads Christian Church Chapel, 6450 S. Hwy 360, Grand Prairie, Texas.
In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that donations can be made to Crossroads Christian Church for the new children’s building.
