Lucille A. (Wolcott) Bell

Lucille A. (Wolcott) Bell, 91, of Sanford, Florida and formerly of Elyria, passed into the loving hands of the Lord on Good Friday, March 29, 2013 at Longwood Health Care Center with the assistance of Hospice. She was born June 29, 1921 in Ashland City, Tennessee and was the daughter of the late Oren and Amanda (Halverson) Wolcott. She grew up in Clarksfield, Ohio and graduated from New London High School.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, Dudley Vernon Bell, who died December 30, 2006. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her sister, Marion (Wolcott) Pierce and her brothers, Calvin, Delbert, Ralph, and Donald Wolcott.

After the death of her husband, her son Dudley and his wife Nancy took her into their home and have been her caregivers enriching her life with their love.

Lucille was first a loving wife, mother and homemaker. In addition she worked for the Census Bureau, provided expert handwriting comparisons for several legal proceedings, worked with her husband doing real estate appraisals and loved working in the garden. After raising her family she proceeded toward a lifelong goal by attending Lorain County Community College and graduating with an Associate Degree.

She is survived by her sister, Gladys Wolcott Adams of West Palm Beach, Florida; daughter, Patricia (Perry) Remaklus of Richmond, Virginia; sons, Dudley (Nancy Lotko) of Sanford, Florida, Thomas (Mary Kimmet) of Elyria, Steven (Janet Ryan) of Stelle, Illinois; seven grandchildren, Tamara Remaklus Schaad of State College, Pennsylvania, Perry "Will" Remaklus, Jr. of Raleigh, North Carolina, Jacob Bell of Elyria, Amber (Bell) Chase of Sanford, Florida, Dianna Bell of North Ridgeville, Tonya (Bell) Hazzard of Livonia, Michigan and Thomas "Tommy" Bell, Jr. of Elyria; she is also survived by nine great grandchildren, Connor and Cassandra Schaad, Christian, Isaiah and Victoria "Tori" Bell, Brant and Brennan Hazzard, Kristin Bell, Isabella Lopez; one great great granddaughter, Marley McNeal and many nieces and nephews.

Burial will be private. She will be interred next to her husband at Ridge Hill Memorial Park in Amherst Township.
