Pastor Brucil Fitzallen Brown, 78, of Lorain, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, March 3, 2013. He was born June 29, 1934 in Kingston, Jamaica, to the union of Connie Walters (Kelly) and Gilford L. Brown.
He graduated from Buxton High School in Kingston and in 1968 received a tailoring degree from Kingston Technical Training School. He later migrated to the United States as a professional tailor in Sandusky. Throughout the years he also worked at Richmond Brothers, General Motors and Industrial Nut. After residing in Sandusky for 26 years, he moved to Lorain, where he continued to work for Industrial Nut and later retired after 30 years of service.
As a Pastor he ministered in Jamaica, at Clyde Grace Gospel Hall in Clyde, Ohio, Grace Gospel Hall in Lorain, where he pastured for over 30 years. In 2009 he became the Asst. Pastor at Antioch Primitive Baptist Church in Lorain. In addition to pasturing he loved reading and teaching the Bible; raising bees, and picking up church members for services.
Pastor Brucil is survived by four daughters, Olive (Rufus) Jordan of Columbus, Georgia, Grace (Rob) Howe of Kitchener, Ontario, Joy L. Brown and Hope E. Brown, both of Columbus; three sons, Kevin Brown of Lorain, David (Brandy) Brown of Columbus and Phillip Brown of Mississippi; eight grandchildren; best friend, Odarise McCall-Wheeler; good friend, Carvel Brisby; and a host of other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Guilda Brown; his parents; and a brother, Nevel Brown.
Friends may call Tuesday, March 12, 2013 from 10 A.M. until time of service at 12 Noon at Antioch Primitive Baptist Church, 3035 Toledo Ave., Lorain, with Pastor Ernest G. Battle officiating. Burial will be in Meadow Green Memorial Park, Huron.
