Lewis R. Horvat, 66, of Elyria, formerly of Vermilion and Huron, died Monday, February 4, 2013, at EMH Healthcare. He was born April 18, 1946 in Sandusky, and raised in Vermilion.
Mr. Horvat was a graduate of Vermilion High School in 1964. He worked for various chemical companies as a research lab technician and retired in 2006. He enjoyed the outdoors, reading, and doing puzzles.
He is survived by his mother, Elizabeth (Tokar) Horvat of Elyria; three grandchildren, JD, Leah, and Elizabeth Martin; and a sister, Susan Brandmeier of Huron.
He was preceded in death by his father, Lewis Horvat in 1995; a daughter, Melissa Martin; and a sister, Diane Horvat.
Friends may call Thursday, February 7, 2013 from 10 A.M. until time of service at 11 A.M. at the Foster Funeral Home & Crematory, 410 Main St., Huron. Burial will be in Scott Cemetery, Huron.
