Brenda E. Byrne, (nee Clow), 63, of Columbia Station, passed away Wednesday, January 2, 2013, at Good Samaritan Nursing Home in Avon, following a long illness. She was born December 18, 1949 in Portland, Oregon and was an Elyria resident for most of her life.
Brenda and her husband were owner-operators of the former Mattress Showcase store in Elyria. She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Elyria and enjoyed spending time with her family.
Survivors include her husband of 36 years, Timothy; daughter, Kelly Moore of Augusta, Georgia; son, Sean Byrne of Elyria; three grandchildren; father, LaVern Clow of The Villages, Florida; sisters, Sherry Lyon of LaGrange, Wendy Pritt and Trudy Rindfleisch, both of Vermilion; brothers, Doug Clow of Elyria, Jody Clow of Jenks, Oklahoma, and Bruce Clow of Amherst.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Dolores Clow. There will be no visitation. A Memorial Mass will be Saturday, January 12, 2013, 11 A.M., at St. Mary Church, 320 Middle Ave., Elyria. The Reverend Charles Diedrick, Pastor, will be the Celebrant.
