Marion B. Kovacs (nee Bott), 89, of North Ridgeville, passed away peacefully with her family and friends by her side, on Wednesday November 7, 2012 at EMH Regional Medical Center in Elyria. She was born November 13, 1922 in Elyria. Mrs. Kovacs had resided in North Ridgeville for the past 13 years. She had previously resided in Elyria and Lorain for many years. She was retired and had been an employee of General Industries and Invacare, both in Elyria. Mrs. Kovacs was a member of First Congregational United Church of Christ in North Ridgeville. She enjoyed internet sweepstakes cafes, working crossword and word-find puzzles and embroidery. Her family will miss her homemade soup and bread!
Mrs. Kovacs is survived by two daughters, Betty Fitts (Jack) and Kathleen Kovacs, both of North Ridgeville; one son, Joseph Kovacs of South Lorain; five grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; one sister, Dorothy Karasevic of Elyria; one sister-in-law, Jeanne (Bott) Adams of Elyria; and by many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Kovacs in 1990; by her parents, Clarence and Emily (nee Yost) Bott; by two brothers, Donald and Robert Bott; and by one niece and three nephews.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, November 10, 2012 from 10 A.M. until the time of the funeral service at 11 A.M. at the Liston Funeral Home, 36403 Center Ridge Road (at Stoney Ridge Rd.), North Ridgeville. Rev. Thomas Joyce from Fields United Methodist Church will officiate the service. Burial will be at Ridge Hill Memorial Park in Amherst Township.
The family suggests that, in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made to either New Life Hospice or to North Ridgeville Community Care.
