Ruth Delk, 88, of North Ridgeville and formerly of Oberlin, passed away quietly Monday evening, November 5, 2012, at Center Ridge Health Campus, North Ridgeville.
Born August 30, 1924 in Detroit, Michigan, to the late Brighton Slaughter and Lucile Williams, Ruth was the wife of Warren Delk. He passed from this life on February 27, 2010.
Her daughters, Janet and Barbara, and a son in infancy, also preceded her in death.
Ruth was a homemaker and had worked as a dormitory monitor at Oberlin College, as well as caring for children in her home for several years. She enjoyed sewing, doing crafts, reading and spending time with her grandchildren.
She is survived by a daughter, June Sharp of Cleveland; four grandchildren, including her caregiver, Kandi (Kyle) Withers of North Ridgeville; 10 great-grandchildren; and three great-great grandchildren.
Memorial services will be held at 3 P.M., Saturday, November 10, 2012, at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovahs Witnesses, 39099 Chestnut Ridge Road, Elyria.
