Charles Vernon Tubbesing

Charles Vernon Tubbesing, 94, of Fort Myers, Florida, formerly of Avon, passed away November 2, 2012 in Fort Myers.

Charles was a 2nd Lieutenant, in the Air Corp, trained as a Bombardier pilot for WWII. He was an avid reader who especially loved books about WWII. He had a passion for planes that stayed with him his entire life. He worked as an accountant for Mobil Oil Corp., before retiring in 1982. Charles was a quiet humble man. He will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather and uncle.

He is survived by his children, Jane Tubbesing-Kolczun of Ft. Myers, and Robert (Cathy) Tubbesing of Toronto, Canada; and grandchildren, Scott and Ellen Tubbesing.

Charles is preceded in death by his loving wife of 65 years, Blanche M. Tubbesing; parents, Adaline (nee Greb) Tubbesing and Charles Fredrick Tubbesing.

Private Entombment will be held in Resthaven Memory Gardens, Avon.
