Barry Eisom

Barry was bornMarch 31, 1952 in Halls,Tennessee, the secondof seven children bornto William (deceased)and Eula Eisom. He departed this life suddenly at home December 8, 2010.

Barry confessed and accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior at an early age, attending Bethany Baptist Church in Elyria, serving on the Usher Board and singing in the Young Adult Choir.

He graduated from Elyria High School in 1971. He attended Akron University playing on the Football Team. After meeting and marrying the love of his life, Carol Duhart, they moved to Houston, Texas and made it their home. God blessed their union with one son, Julian Barry.

Barry was employed by Firestone Co., retiring in March 2010 with 30 years of service. Barry celebrated life with his favorite hobbies: watching old westerns, grilling outdoors, being an avid sports fan and discussing the world’s current events.

His passion was spending time with his family.

Barry leaves to cherish his memory, wife, Carol of 31 years; son, Julian Barry; mother, Eula Eisom of Elyria; two sisters, Connie Godbolt (Tony) of Elyria and Linda Hinton (Neil) of Germantown, Maryland; four brothers,  Billie (Valerie) of Elyria, Joe (Amy) of Fort Wayne, Indiana, Steve (Louise) of Elyria, Tyrone (Elizabeth) of Westlake and a host of relatives and close friends.

Barry was preceded in death by his father, William N. Eisom; maternal grandparents, Jonas Rogers and Beulah Rogers-Newborn; paternal grandparents, Allen and Matilda Eisom.

Services were held in Texas. Burial took place at Paradise South Cemetery in Pearland,Texas.
