Dean W. Phillips, 85, of Lorain, passed away Sunday, December 9, 2007 at CHP Regional Medical Center. He was born November 10, 1922 in Marengo, and had lived in Lorain for 67 years.
Dean owned Dean Phillips Motor Sales in Lorain for seven years, and sold cars for Milad Chevrolet, retiring in 1987.
He attended St. John United Church of Christ and was a member of the former Masonic Lodge #552 branch, now the Black River Lodge branchÂ #786; Lorain Saxon Club Branch 5, and Polish Fishermen's Club. He enjoyed fishing and hunting.
Survivors include sons, Duane L. Phillips of Birmingham, Alabama, Don D. Phillips of Traverse City, Michigan; four grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Helen Phillips (nee Gross) in 1998; parents, Edward and Vera Phillips; one brother; and three sisters.
Friends may call Wednesday, December 12, 2007, 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 P.M. at Reichlin-Cooley Funeral Home, 2920 Broadway, Lorain, where Masonic Services will be at 7 P.M.
The Funeral Service will be Thursday, 11 A.M. at the funeral home. Rev. Philip Kunz will officiate. Burial will follow at Ridge Hill Memorial Park.
