Annie K. Lovejoy, 70, of Elyria passed away in her home following a brief illness. She was born in Troy, Alabama coming to Elyria in 1966.
Annie was a graduate of Troy High School and was employed as a cook and also as a maintenance worker for the University Of Houston in Houston, Texas.
Annie was also a member of Unity Missionary Baptist Church of Elyria, where she served on the usher board and was also a senior choir member.
Annie enjoyed cooking, and taking care of children and her grandchildren and was also known as a very outgoing person.
Annie is survived by her sons, Bobby C. Lovejoy of Toledo, James (Valerie) Lovejoy of Columbus, Marlin J. Lovejoy of Elyria, Reginald (Kimber Lee) Lovejoy of Elyria; god-daughter, Shirley M. Phillips of Lorain; nine grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Annie was preceded in death by her husband of 25 years, James A. Lovejoy, Sr.; and eight brothers.
Friends may call Thursday, December 13, 2007 from 10 A.M. until time of Service at 12 Noon in the Unity Missionary Baptist Church, 326 Fuller Rd., Elyria, where Rev. Willie J. Gardener, Pastor, will officiate Services. Burial will follow in Brookdale Cemetery, Elyria. Carter Funeral Homes, Inc., Elyria, is in charge of Funeral Arrangements.
