Erma "Jean" Barger, 75, of Elyria, passed away Wednesday, November 7, 2007 in the EMH Regional Medical Center following a sudden illness. She was born in Liverpool, coming to Elyria two years ago from North Ridgeville, where she spent most of her life.
She attended North Ridgeville High School and was employed as a fitter for Hills Department Store in North Olmsted, she also worked at Gold Circle Department Store and did secretarial work for the Bonds Corporation in California.
Mrs. Barger attended the Harvest Ridge Assembly Church on Lorain Road.
She enjoyed sewing, crocheting, and crafts and watching old "I Love Lucy" and "Elvis" movies.
She is survived by her son, James A. Barger of Elyria; daughter, Deborah Barger of Elyria; granddaughter; sisters, Arlene Moore of Elyria, Dorothy Furlan of Geneva; brother, Robert Smith of Arkansas; a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James A. Barger; brother, William N. Smith Jr.
Friends may call Monday, November 12, 2007 from 10 A.M. until time of Service at 11 A.M. in the Carter Funeral Home Chapel, 127 W. Bridge St., Elyria, where the Rev.
