William Ellis McMullen, 98, of LaGrange, died Tuesday, October 2, 2007, at the Elms Nursing Home, Wellington after a short illness. He was born March 23, 1909 in Conneaut.
He worked as an inspector for Bendix Westinghouse in Elyria retiring in 1972. William also worked part time at Pheasant Run Golf Course.
He served in the Army during World War II.
He was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church of Wellington.
He enjoyed golf, gardening, yard work, and traveling.
He is survived by his son, Timothy McMullen; three grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and a sister, Hazel D. Bahret, Tice, FL.
He was preceded in death by his father, Jesse McMullen; mother, Edith May Pember McMullen; wife, Mary G. McMullen; son, Patrick McMullen; and brothers, Carl McMullen and Glen McMullen.
Friends may call at the T.G. Cowling Funeral Home, 218 E. Herrick, Wellington from 6 to 8 P.M. Thursday, October 4, 2007 and 9 A.M. until time of Mass at 10 A.M. on Friday, October 5, 2007 at St. Patrick Catholic Church, N. Main St., Wellington. Father James Reymann officiating. Interment will be at Rockwood Cemetery, LaGrange.
