Hugh A. Palmer Sr., 71, of Burbank died Monday, August 13, 2007 at the Cleveland Clinic. He was born January 5, 1936 in North Ridgeville, the son of the late Hugh A. and Mary Sharpe Palmer.
Along with his son, Hugh A. Palmer Jr., he owned Palmer and Son excavating for the last 24 years. Hugh enjoyed his grandchildren and following all of their activities.
He is survived by his wife whom he married February 27, 1953, Kathleen Lensvelt; children, Colleen Porter of West Salem, Debra Fox of Columbus, Kathy (Brett) Keener of Smithville and Hugh A. Jr. (Rita) Palmer of Wooster; eight grandchildren, Brian (Michelle) Dreibelbis of Mansfield, Nicole Fox of Columbus, Kirt Boreman Keener of Wooster, Kelly Keener of Smithville, Chad Palmer of Wooster, Cory Palmer of Wooster, Josh (April) Porter of Mansfield, and Ryan Porter of Wooster; four great-grandchildren; a sister, Jane Bender of North Ridgeville; and a brother, John Palmer of New London; special family friends, the Charles Cutter family of West Salem.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 4 to 8 P.M. Thursday August 16, 2007. Funeral services will be held 11 A.M. Friday, August 17, 2007 in the McIntire, Davis & Greene Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster. Pastor Paul Bartholomew will officiate. Burial will follow in Wooster Cemetery.
