Clarence Darnell "Lone Rider" Brown, 54, of Lorain, passed away Wednesday, July 18, 2007 in the Community Health Partners of Lorain following a long illness. He was born in Birmingham, AL, coming to Lorain and the Elyria area 46 years ago.
He was a graduate of Admiral King High School and also attended LCCC.
He was employed as an assembly lineman for Ford Motor Company, Lorain plant, and also worked at Community Hospital as a utilities worker, he also worked with ODOT as a truck driver and as a truck driver with his father in the C. Brown Black Top Company in Lorain.
He attended meetings with the Jehovah's Witnesses in Elyria.
He was a former member of the Sophisticated Gents Motorcycle Club a.k.a. True Gents Motorcycle Club of Lorain.
He enjoyed playing the keyboard, all kinds of trucks, and he also enjoyed riding his motorcycle across the United States to different events, and most of all having long talks with his mother, family and friends.
He is survived by his wife, Shirley Brown (nee Woods); son, Christopher D. Brown of Titusville, FL; daughters, Sharaya and Ambria Barlow both of Lorain; three grandchildren; parents, Clarence and Willie Mae Brown of Lorain; sisters, Juanita Coston of Charlotte, NC, Barbara Brown of Cleveland, Andrea D. Turner of Las Vegas, NV; brother, Chaun E. Brown of Lorain; a step-sister; paternal grandmother, Bertha Dancy of Birmingham, AL; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Tom Brown; maternal grandparents, Otis and Cerluster Jennings; four aunts; and four uncles.
Friends may call Thursday from 6 to 9 P.M. in the Carter Funeral Home Chapel, 3001 Elyria Ave., Lorain, where Services will be Friday at Noon. Rev. John R. Jackson, Pastor of Friendship Baptist Church of Lorain, will officiate. Burial will follow at Elmwood Cemetery, Lorain. Online condolences may be directed to email@example.com
