Agnes Gallardo, (nee: Olenik), 85, of Elyria, died Friday at her home following a brief illness. She was born November 8, 1921 in Lorain and Lived in Elyria for most of her life. Mrs. Gallardo was employed as a packer at Greenhouse Vegetable Packing Co. in Berea for 30 years, retiring in 1983. She was a member of St. Agnes Catholic Church in Elyria and enjoyed her cats, Sweetie and Peetie, and cooking and baking.
Survivors include her daughters, June Susanjar of Akron, Patricia Rodriguez of Zepher Hills, FL., Mary Whitt of North Ridgeville, and Linda Gallardo of Elyria; son, Anthony Gallardo of Elyria; seven grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Antonio Gallardo in 1981; sisters, Mary Milton and Anni Beechler; and brothers, Joe and John Olenik.
There will be no visitation. Funeral Mass will be Tuesday at 12 P.M. at St. Agnes Church, 611 Lake Ave., Elyria. The Rev. Albert Krupp, pastor, will be the Celebrant. Burial will be at Elmwood Cemetery, Lorain. Memorial contributions can be made to the church. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Bauer-Laubenthal Funeral Home, 38475 Chestnut Ridge Rd., Elyria.
