Irma A. Dyer (nee Shore), 96, of Elyria, died Thursday, July 12, 2007 at Life Care Center of Elyria following a long illness. She was born March 10, 1911 in Cleveland and lived in Elyria for most of her life.
Mrs. Dyer worked as a inspector at the former Bendix-Westinghouse Co. in Elyria for 30 years.
She was a member of the United Auto Workers Local 971, and the Animal Protective League of Lorain County.
Survivors include her step-son, Merlin G. "Joe" Dyer of Elyria; and numerous step-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Mark A. Dyer in 1975; step-son, Robert D. Dyer; sisters, Grace Otterbacher and Evelyn Linder.
Friends may call Monday from 11 A.M. until the time of Services at 1 P.M. at the Bauer-Laubenthal Funeral Home, Chestnut Ridge Rd. at State Rt. 57, Elyria. The Rev. Don Lare, pastor of Community United Methodist Church in Elyria will officiate.
Burial will be at Resthaven Memory Gardens, Avon.
