Margaret M. Pesta (nee Hale), 58, of Elyria, died Sunday, July 1, 2007, at E.M.H. Regional Medical Center in Elyria following a long illness. She was born March 23, 1949 in Cleveland and was an Elyria resident for the past 29 years.
Mrs. Pesta worked as a Teacher’s Aide at St. Mary School in Elyria. She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church for 39 years, where she volunteered for the hot meals program, and also worked as a Day Care Assistant. She enjoyed painting, dolls, bingo, playing slots and loved spending time with her family.
Survivors include her husband of 41 years, John J. Pesta Sr.; a daughter, Tami (Bobby) Lamie of LaGrange; a son, John Jr. (Sheila) of Ashland; five grandchildren, Dan and Sara Reno, Becky Lamie, Joe and Margaret Blevins; two great-grandchildren, Alex McMillan and Ashley Rose Reno; her mother, Margaret (nee Meese) Diamond and step-father, William Diamond, both of Elyria; sisters, Janis (John) Hofmann, Nancy Resinger and Betty Roguez; and brothers, Jim, Andy, Dennis, Thomas III, John and Robert.
She was preceded in death by her father, Thomas Hale Sr.; and brothers, Thomas Hale Jr. and Robert Hale.
Friends may call Thursday, July 5, 2007, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 P.M. at the Bauer-Laubenthal Funeral Home, Chestnut Ridge Road at State Route 57, Elyria.
Services will be Friday, July 6, 2007 at 9 A.M. in the funeral home followed by Mass at 9:30 A.M. at St. Mary Catholic Church, 320 Middle Ave., Elyria.
The Rev. Thomas Kowatch, Pastor will be the Celebrant.
Burial will follow in Holy Cross Cemetery, Brook Park.
