Julia Papp, (nee Gergely), 86, of Lorain, died on Thursday, June 28, 2007 at Five Star Group Home, Avon Lake, following a short illness. She was born on January 26, 1921 in Lorain, where she has lived her entire life. She was a member of Hungarian Reformed United Church of Christ, Lorain. She enjoyed crocheting, cooking, baking and working in her yard.
She is survived by a sister, Rosemary Zurkan, of Lorain; brother, Alex Gergely of Avon; several nieces and nephews; and great-nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Edward Leshinski in 1970; second husband, Alexander Papp in 1983; parents, Alex Gergely in 1963 and Sophie Czompay in 1989; sister, Ethel Hare in 1983; and brother John Gergely in 1993.
Friends may call Sunday, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 P.M. at the Dovin Funeral Home, 2701 Elyria Avenue, Lorain, and also on Monday from 10:30 A.M. until time of Services at 11 A.M. at Hungarian Reformed Church, 3036 Globe Avenue, Lorain. Rev. Peter Toth, pastor will officiate. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery, Lorain.
